Fibre Park, the proposed high quality enterprise space for the tech community in Camborne, will not proceed.
The Penhaligon building, which was set to house Fibre Park, was found to have reinforced autoclaved aerated concrete (RAAC). The associated increase in renovation and material costs made the project financially unviable as no further funding is available from Town Deal.
Camborne’s thriving digital sector is steadily carving out a new and exciting direction for the town and Fibre Park would have been a very valuable addition. The money set aside for Fibre Park is being invested in other Camborne Town Deal projects
