Last call in Camborne

More than £80,000 in grant funding was awarded to businesses in Camborne at the last Project A-Void panel meeting in February.

Managed by BID Camborne, the scheme is one of eleven projects awarded a total of £23.7m in Town Deal funding by the Government. Almost £507k of that was made available in Project A-Void Phase 2 – adding to the £262k awarded in the first phase.

Now, with a small residual balance of the project’s funding left, applications are being invited from those wanting to start a pop-up shop, scale-up a business or to fill a commercial premise void.

“We need to hear from local businesses wanting to use a grant for significant benefit as soon as possible as the absolute deadline for remaining Project A-Void funding is the end of March,” said Anna Pascoe, BID Camborne Manager.

“We’re delighted that so many business improvements have been made with the grants awarded since the start of Town Deal funding. They’ve made a difference to the look and feel of the town centre, increased energy efficiency and changed working environments for the better.

“At a time when the cost of living is affecting everyone, it’s been a welcome and much-needed boost for Camborne.”
