Camborne Town Deal Board is currently seeking to fill a vacancy for a private sector Board Member, who will join its dedicated Board of volunteers.
Camborne has a long and illustrious past. Let’s build on that proud heritage and progress towards a bright, creative and very prosperous future. The Town Deal Board are hoping to secure funding which will help Camborne forge a new direction for generations to come.
Camborne has a golden opportunity to bid for up to £25m in funding as part of the Government’s Town Deal initiative. The Board is working hard, in conjunction with Cornwall Council, to submit a plan that will secure maximum investment and transform our community and livelihoods.
Launched in November 2019, the Government’s Towns Fund Deal aims to regenerate high streets, boost businesses and improve infrastructure.
Camborne is one of only four towns in Cornwall selected to participate and our board of volunteers are all working very hard to develop and submit
an investment plan by January 2021 that will make the most of an amazing opportunity to kickstart a vision and transform our community.
Applicants must live or work in the Camborne area and, due to the requirement for a balance of public and private sector representation, the vacancy must be filled by someone based in the private
sector.

Anyone interested in applying can send their CV and a cover letter, explaining why they’d like to join the Board, to Phillip Woods by 5pm on Friday 6 November 2020.
